True Ventures Taps Blogger Malik As Venture Partner

Palo Alto-based venture capital firm True Venture has added a new venture partner, blogger Om Malik, according to Malik in a blog post Thursday evening. Malik, who runs GigaOm, Earth2Tech, and other technology vertical blogs, said the move came as Giga Omni Media has named a new CEO, Paul Walborsky. Malik said he will continue to blog, but will limit his posts to two posts a day, and will stop writing about companies funded by True Ventures. Malik, in his post, said the move "could lead me to one day being a venture capitalist myself."
