Verana Health Gets $30M
San Francisco-based Verana Health, a developer of software which uses data from electronic health records to support development of new pharmaceuticals and devices, said on Tuesday that it has raised $30M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by GV (formerly Google Ventures), and also included Biomatics Capital, Brook Byers (founder of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers), GE Ventures, and Lagunita Biosciences. As part of the funding, the company has named Miki Kapoor as President and CEO of the company. Kapoor was most recently CEO of Tea Leaves Health.
