VMware Buys Digital Fuel

Palo Alto-based VMware, the developer of virtualization software, said today that it has acquired Digital Fuel, a developer of IT financial and business management software-as-a-service. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Digital Fuel's products are used for IT costing, budget, chargeback, cost optimization, vendor management and SLA management. Digital Fuel was venture backed by Apax Partners, Benchmark Capital, Israel Seed Partners, and Sigma Partners.
