Workday Buys Rallyteam

Pleasanton-based Workday announced on Friday that it has acquired Rallyteam, a developer of machine learning tools. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Rallyteam's machine learning software was used to help match their employees to skills, experiences, and interests. The company was venture backed by Norwest Venture Partners, Storm Ventures, Cornerstone OnDemand and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. The company had only just announced its Series A funding in November.
