Yahoo Buys PeerCDN

Sunnyvale-based Yahoo has acquired PeerCDN, the developer of peer-to-peer, content delivery network (CDN) software. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. PeerCDN's technology is based on the emerging WebRTC standard. The firm was part of LIghtSpeed VEntures' Summer Program, and was founded by Stanford students.
