Atari Sells Cryptic Studios

Atari said this morning along with Chinese online game firm Perfect World Co., Ltd that the two have entered into an agreement will Perfect World will acquire 100 percent of Los Gatos-based Cryptic Studios, the online game developer. The deal was worth around $50M US. Atari was the sole shareholder of Cryptic Studios. Perfect World said the acquisition would allow it to fully penetrate into the U.S. and global online game markets.
