Autodesk Buys Composite Analysis Software Developer

San Rafael-based CAD software developer Autodesk has acquired Firehole Composites, a developer of design and analysis software for composite materials, the firm announced this morning. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Auto said the acquisition will expand its expertise and technology, and will add "significant experience" in next generation materials and non-linear analysis. Firehole Composites was based in Laramie, Wyoming.
