Autodesk Buys Pixlr

San Rafael-based Autodesk, the developer of 3D cad software, said today that it has acquired Pixlr, an online, social site focused on creating, collecting, editing, and sharing images. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Pixlr is based in Sweden, and focuses on allowing users to share, edit, and create images on Facebook and other products. Autodesk said the buy will enhance its SketchBook Pro consumer product line.
