Facebook Buys Confirm.io

Mountain View-based Facebook has acquired Confirm.io, which develops software for authentication of identities. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Confirm.io was based in Boston. As part of the acquisition, Confirm.io said that all of its current digital ID authentication software offerings will be "wound down" as it becomes part of Facebook.
