Intel CEO Krzanich Resigns Suddenly Due To Relationship With Employee
Santa Clara-based Intel announced the surprise resignation of its CEO, Brian Krzanich, due to a "past consensual relationship with an Intel employee" the company said this morning, and appointed Bob Swan as its Interim CEO. According to Intel, an ongoing investigation by internal and external counsel found that Krzanich had violated its non-fraternization policy, which applies to all managers--including the CEO. No other details of the relationship were given, however, Krzanich, who is 58, is married and has two daughters.
