Oracle Buys Israeli Firm Convergin

Redwood Shores-based Oracle said today that it has acquired Convergin, a developer of real-time, service brokering software used by communication service providers. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Convergin's products are used by telecom carriers for such things are pre-paid calling plans and charging. Covergin is based in Israel.
