Silicon Optix Acquired By IDT

San Jose-based Silicon Optix, a provider of video processing semiconductors for HD video, has been acquired by IDT. San Jose, California-based IDT did not disclose financial terms of the deal. According to IDT, it plans to operate the resulting business as part of its Video and Display Operation, which will primarily be located in Silicon Optix' Toronto, Canada facility. Silicon Optix had raised approximately $100M in three rounds of venture capital funding, from Origin Partners, Primaxis Technology Ventures, RBC Capital Partners, Canaan Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, Focus Ventures, InterWest Partners, Apax Partners, and Acer Ventures.
