Smalltown Raises $3M For Local Web

San Mateo-based Smalltown, a company developing a user-generated content site targeted at local communities, has received $3M in a Series A funding. The financing came from Formative Ventures. Smalltown said the funding would go towards building the infrastructure for its "local web" platform. The firm is looking to help families, service providers, merchants, and organizations to connect with the surrounding community. More information »
