Zvents Raises $7M

San Mateo-based Zvents, a Web 2.0 local event listing and search startup, said today that it has raised $7M in a Series A funding from VantagePoint Venture Partners. Prior investors Red Rock Ventures and netService Ventures Group also participated. Zvents provides local event search and listing tools, and has existing partnerships with the San Jose Mercury News, Denver Post, Miami Herald, and Contra Costa Times. The firm competes with companies such as EVDB and other online event listing services. More information »
