Zvents Adds Movie Search

San Mateo-based Zvents announced Thursady that the firm has added movie search to its event search platform. The company said that it has integrated data from Tribune Media Services for the movie information, which includes over 900,000 weekly movie showtimes from 7,000 movie theaters in the U.S. and Canada. Zvents is venture backed by NetService Ventures, Red Rock Ventures, and VantagePoint Venture Partners. The firm's event calendars are used by the San Jose Mercury News and Contra Costa Times, among other media partners.
