Zvents Installs Krohn as Engineering Vice President

Zvents, a local search engine for activities and events, announced Tuesday that it has hired Robert Krohn as its vice president of engineering. Krohn, the company explained, boasts more than 15 years of systems engineering and management experience. He will oversee engineering development, quality assurance and operations for Zvents' local search Web service, the San Mateo, Calif.-based company said. Prior to joining Zvents, Krohn founded the software startup, My Life Digital. Before that, he held various management positions for several Silicon Valley companies, including Juniper Networks, Nexsi Systems, Electronics for Imaging, Xerox AODS and Hewlett-Packard, Zvents said.
