Zmanda Raises $8M

San Francisco-based Zmanda, a firm developing open source backup and recovery software, said today that it has raised $8M in a Series B round. The round was led by Helion Venture Partners, and also included prior investors BlueRun Ventures and Canaan Partners. The new funding will go towards research and development and business expansion for the firm. Zmanda's software is targeted at data backup and recovery of corporate data. More information »
