Zmanda Rolls Out Backup Products

Sunnyvale-based Zmanda has rolled out two new open source backup products, the firm said today, including a product which backs up files onto Amazon's S3 storage services. According to Zmanda, it has released Zmanda Internet Backup (ZIB), Windows software which allows users to backup their Windows Server and other Windows applications directly to Mazon's Simple Storage Service. The firm also released Zmanda Recovery Manager (ZRM) 3.0 for MySQL on Windows, a product used to backup the popular MySQL database. Zmanda is backed by BlueRun Ventures, Canaan Partners, and Helion Venture Partners.
