Ning Nets $44M

Palo Alto-based social networking software developer Ning said today in its blog that it has raised $44M in an investment from Legg Mason and other investors. The firm said that the investment was the first outside investment in Ning. The investment will be used for adding new features, improving current features, and expanding its operations. Ning's software allows anyone to create their own social networking web site. More information »
