NetLogic Acquires Aeluros
Mountain View-based NetLogic said today that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Aeluros, a provider of 10 Gigabit Ethernet semiconductors, in a deal worth $57M in cash. Aeluros is also based in Mountain View. NetLogic said that it will also assume unvested employee stock options, and that it may pay up to an additional $20M in earn out based on performance milestones. Aeluros is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, Worldview Technology Partners, UOB Venture Management Private Limited, and Mitsui & Co. The firm's most recent round of disclosed funding was $10M in a Series B round in 2004. Aeluros develops 10G Serdes and PHY semiconductors used for connecting to 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks.
