NetLogic Acquires RMI
Mountain View-based NetLogic Microsystems and Cupertino-based RMI Corporation announced Monday that the two firms are in a definitive agreement to merge. NetLogic, which develops microprocessors and other high speed integrated circuits, said it would pay around $183.4M in cash and stock for RMI, which makes multi-core, multi-threaded processors used for wireless systems, switches and routers, and other products. RMI was venture backed by Warburg Pincus, Benchmark Capital, Advanced Equities, Kodiak Venture Partners, and DAG Ventures.
