NetLogic Acquired By Broadcom
Santa Clara-based NetLogic Microsystems, a developer of networking processors, has reached a deal to be acquired by Broadcom, for $3.7 billion. According to Broadcom, it will pay $50 per share for NetLogic, which makes knowledge-based processors, multi-core embedded processors, and digital front-end processors. NetLogic will extend its portfolio of infrastructure products. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2012.
