Aquantia Adds $26M

Milpitas-based Aquantia, which develops 10GBASE-T semiconductors, said Friday late morning that it has raised $26M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Pinnacle Ventures, and also included prior investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, and Venture Tech Alliance. According to the company, the funding brings the company's total raise to $41M. Aquantia's 10GBASE-T PHY provides physical layer, 10G Ethernet connectivity to high speed networks using copper rather than fiber connections; the firm competes against Solarflare Communications and others in the 10G Ethernet market.
