Accel, Greylock Appoint Yahoo's Weiner As EIR

Venture capital firms Accel Partners and Greylock Partners said late Monday that they have appointed Jeff Weiner, as Executive in Residence at both of the firms. Weiner was most recently Executive Vice President of Yahoo's Network Division. According to Greylock and Accel, Weiner will advise the leadership teams of their consumer technology portfolio companies, and also work closely with both of the firms on evaluating new investment opportunities. The firms said they would share Weiner equally, with his time split equally between the Accel and Greylock Silicon Valley offices.
