Friendster Deploys OpenSocial Support
San Francisco-based social networking site Friendster said late Monday that the firm has deployed the OpenSocial API on the firm's web site. According to Friendster, it has begun offering the OpenSocial API as part of its developer program, and will now allow individual developers and companies to add OpenSocial-based applications to its site. Friendster had said it would join OpenSocial, Google's effort to develop a standard set of programming interfaces to social networking sites, last October.
