SiBEAM Scores Strategics

Sunnyvale-based SiBEAM, a developer of millimeter wave wireless chipsets, announced this morning that it has scored a strategic investment from Panasonic and Samsung. Financial terms of the funding were not disclosed. According to SiBEAM, the funding will go towards continued development of its products. SiBEAM's semiconductors are being applied to streaming uncompressed and lossless high definition video, audio, and data across wireless connections. The firm has previously raised funding from Foundation Capital, NEA, and US Venture Partners. More information »
