Google Extends Book Search To Magazines
Mountain View-based Google said Tuesday that it is extending its book search service to include both magazine archives and current online magazines. According to Google, it search service will include articles from such publications like Popular Mechanics, New York Magazine, Ebony, and others. The firm said it has partnered with publishers to begin digitizing millions of articles from the various publications. The new magazine results are mixed in with existing book results, and the firm said it will also begin blending those results into Google's main search results; currently you have to use the advanced search features in book search to specifically target magazine searches.
