National Semiconductor Buys Act Solar

Santa Clara-based National Semiconductor said Thursday that it has acquired Santa Clara-based Act Solar, a developer of products used to enhance the efficiency of solar power arrays. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to National Semiconductor, the buy will allow it to further improve the performance and efficiency of solar systems.
