Google Chops 200

Mountain View-based Google said Thursday afternoon that the firm has cut 200 staff members in its sales and marketing organizations. The firm said in a statement that it has reduced the number of roles within the company's sales and marketing organizations, in order to improve the firm's effectiveness and efficiency as a business. The firm said the moves came after the firm's rapid growth had created "overlapping organizations" which were a duplicate effort, but also managed to "complicate the decision-making process."
