Rambus Buys Mobile Memory Patents from Inapac

High-speed memory manufacturer Rambus announced Tuesday that it has acquired several patents from Inapac Technology Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Rambus, the patents will help the Los Altos-based firm broaden its offerings for the mobile memory market. The patents, Rambus explained, complement the high-bandwidth, low-power memory technologies the firm developed as part of its Mobile Memory Initiative, which it announced earlier this year. Rambus added that the Inapac patents have been used in many mobile products, including the Motorola RAZR V3i and Sony Ericsson C902 phones.
