MindJolt Acquired By MySpace Founders
San Francisco-based online social gaming site MindJolt has been acquired by three founders of social networking site MySpace. Chris DeWolfe, Colin Digiaro, and Aber Whitcomb, the founders of MySpace, said Wednesday that they have partnered with Austin Ventures to acquire MindJolt. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, the financing was reportedly worth $20M. MindJolt is a developer of games for Facebook and other social networking sites. The three said they would increase monetization of MindJolt through virtual goods and brand partnerships, extend MindJolt to other social networking web sites and smart phones, and also create tools to help developers create single player and multiplayer social games.
