LedEngin Gets Series D

Santa Clara-based LedEngin, a developer of solid state lighting components, said Monday that it has raised a Series D round of funding. Size of the round was not disclosed. According to the firm, the round was led by NGP Energy Technology Partners, and also included WK Technology Fund, Partech International, Horizon Ventures, Eyon Group and independent investor and Chairman, Dr. Keh-Shew Lu. The firm said the funding will go towards expanding operations. The firm develops compact LEDs specifically targeted at solid state lighting. Brad Barton of NGP ETP joins the firm's board as part of the funding. More information »
