ECOtality Links With Best Buy

San Francisco-based ECOtality, the developer and installer of electric vehicle charging stations, reports today that it is in a deal to provide its electric vehicle charging stations at certain U.S. stores of electronics retailer Best Buy. According to ECOtality, the deal calls for the installation of 12 charging stations at Best Buy Stores, including in Tucson, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The firm said the pilot program will be used to gather information on consumer charging behavior and to identify potential future EV host sites.
