Autodesk Buys Blue Ridge Numerics

San Rafael-based Autodesk, the developer of CAD software, said Thursday that it has agreed to buy Blue Ridge Numerics for $39M in cash. Blue Ridge Numerics provides simulation software, used by manufacturers in the area of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The firm was based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
