Letter.ly Casualty In Libya War

Letter.ly, the email newsletter service started by Drop.io founder and current Facebook employee Sam Lessin, has become a casualty of the civil war in Libya. According to an email to users of Letter.ly, its domain has been taken down as a side effect of the war in Libya, after the firm was unable to renew its domain registration. The service has renamed itself letterly.net. Letter.ly reported that as its domain name registration expired, it was unable to renew because the agency it used to register the domain had been taken down due to the war. That registrar is the same one used by such popular domain redirection services as bit.ly.
