Grandis Acquired By Samsung Electronics

Milpitas-based Grandis, Inc., a developer of spin transfer torque random access memory (STT-RAM) memory technology, has been acquired by Samsung Electronics, Samsung announced Tuesday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Samsung, Grandis will be merged into Samsung's R&D operations.
