Autodesk Buys 3D Software Technology
San Rafael-based Autodesk said Thursday afternoon that it has acquired 3d, dataset rendering and review software, from Numenus GmbH. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Autodesk said the acquisition of certain technology related assets will help its users gain more accurate visualization of surfaces, and allow them to spend less time preparing quality visualization data. Numenus develps ray tracing technology used to render visual designs. The firm's founders have joined Autodesk as part of the acquisition.
