SugarSync Downloads $15M
San Mateo-based SugarSync, which operates a file synchronization and online backup service, said today that it has raised $15M in a Series D round. The round was led by Coral Group, and included prior investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Sigma Partners, Hatteras Venture Partners and Hercules. As part of the funding, Yuval Almog of Coral Group joins the company's board. The firm said the funds will go to grow its team and expand its datacenter footprint. SugarSync's services access and synchronize files across PCs, smartphones, tablets, and other devices. The company is led by Laura Yecies, who was most recently in charge of Check Point Software's ZoneAlarm business. More information »
