Emergence Capital Partners Names New Operating Partner

San Mateo-based venture capital firm Emergence Capital Partners said Monday that it has named Alison Berkley Wagonfeld as its Operating Partner, helping the firm's portfolio companies work on go-to-market strategies, recruiting and talent management. Wagonfeld joins the company from the Harvard Business School's Califoria Research Center in Menlo Park; she also founded QuickenLoans at Intuit, and served at Greenlight.com, Microsoft, and Morgan Stanley. Emergence Capital Partners manages $575 million in capital. The firm has invested in such companies as Salesforce.com, SuccessFactors, Yammer, Lithium, YouSendIt, and Box.
