Defense.net Gets $9.5M For DDoS Protection

Belmont-based Defense.net, a security startup aimed at addressing issues with distributed denial of service (DDoS) issues, has raised $9.5M in a funding round. The firm said the Series A was led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Defense.net is headed by Barrett Lyon, a security vet who founded BitGravity and Prolexic. Defense.net is developing anti-DDoS services to mitigate web attacks. More information »
