Whistle Buys Tagg, Raises $15M

San Francisco-based Whistle, which makes technology products for pets, said today that it has acquired dog tracking device developer Tagg, and raised $15M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Nokia Growth Partners, Qualcomm, Melo 7 Tech Partners, and Queensbridge Venture Partners. Tagg develops a system which lets pet owners track the location and activity levels of their pet, much like Fitbit does for humans. Tagg was founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of Qualcomm.
