Fortinet Buys Meru Networks

Sunnyvale-based Fortinet said Wednesday that it is acquiring fellow Sunnyvale-based networking products developer Meru Networks. Fortinet said it would pay $44M for Meru, or $1.63 per share in cash. Meru is a developer of 802.11ac wireless networking products, aimed at the high density, enterprise market. Both companies are publicly traded.
