Kraken Gobbles Up Coinsetter and Cavirtex, Captures Series B

San Francisco-based bitcoin exchange operator Kraken said Monday that it has acquired Coinsetter and Cavirtex, two Bitcoin exchanges, and also received a multi-million dollar funding round. Size of that round was not announced. Kraken said the Series B funding was led by SBI Investment. The new funding comes on an earlier, $5M announced by the company in March of 2014. Kraken is led by Jesse Powell. The company's other investors include Hummingbird Ventures, Blockchain Capital and Digital Currency Group
