Emergent Payments Picks Up $5M

Palo Alto-based global payment provider Emergent Payments, which is developing payment solutions for countries like India, Brazil, Malaysia and China, said yesterday that it has raised $5M in an equity funding round. The funding came from its existing investors and Responsible Gold Holdings LP. Names of those existing investors were not announced. Emergent Payents is led by CEO Mitch Davis.
