Falcon Computing Raises $8M For Big Data Hardware Acceleration

Santa Clara-based Falcon Computing Solutions, a developer of software aimed at accelerating big-data applications with GPUs and FPGA hardware, has raised $8M in a funding round, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Intel Capital, and also included Baidu Ventures, Clear Ventures, SV Tech Ventures and Sierra Ventures. Falcon Computing is focused on acceleration of data processing, particularly in such areas as genomics, machine learning, and financial analytics. Falcon's CEO is Bradley Howe. More information »
