McAfee Buys TunnelBear

Santa Clara-based McAfee says on Thursday morning that it has acquired consumer VPN company TunneBear. Financial details of the buy were not announced. McAfee said it will use the acquisition to enhance its cybersecurity portfolio. TunnelBear was based in Toronto, Ontario, and offered up its VPN services via a "freemium" model.
