Cisco Buys Duo Security For $2.35 Billion
San Jose-based Cisco announced on Thursday morning that it has acquired Duo Security, a developer of multi-factor authentication and unified access software. Cisco said it will pay $2.35 billion in cash and assumed equity for Duo Security. Duo Security was based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Duo SEcurity's tools are used for verifying the identity of users and their devices, before granting access to applications.
