FastScale Acquired By EMC

Santa Clara-based FastScale, a developer of software virtualization and provisioning technology, has been acquired by EMC, EMC announced Monday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. EMC said the buy will not have a material impact on its revenues or EPS for fiscal 2009. FastScale has raised around $12.0M in venture funding from ATA Ventures, Hunt Ventures, and Leapfrog Ventures. FastScale will become part of EMC's Ionix Software Group, reporting to Jay Mastaj.
