Report: Silver Lake Abandons Shutterfly, Snapfish Effort

Private equity investment firm Silver Lake and Redwood City-based Shutterfly have failed to reach a deal for the private equity firm to acquired Shutterfly, according to a report Friday. Bloomberg said the companies failed to reach a deal and has decided against buying Snapfish from HP; the report, citing a "person with knowledge of the matter", said Silver Lake may still look at an acquisition of Shutterfly separately.
