Blurb Turns Blogs Into Books
San Francisco-based Blurb, a startup that allows people to publish their own hardcover books, introduced a new service today that automatically takes SixApart TypePad blogs and coverts them into bookstore quality books. Blurb said that it is now releasing the beta to a select number of TypePad bloggers. The firm said the new beta service is aimed at bloggers who want to share with their off-line friends and family, or who want to sell their books for profit to their audience. The new tool automatically pulls in blog posts and allows bloggers to control the look and feel of the data. Blurb said it will add be soon adding support for Moveable Type, Blogger and WordPress, too. Blurb is funded by Canaan Partners and Anthem Venture Partners.
